Electrical problems
don’t follow office hours.
When a fault happens outside your usual electrician’s working hours, call to check whether our network can help. Attendance and telephone response depend on availability; the 24/7 UK brand is not a guarantee that someone can attend at any time.
Call first for an urgent enquiry
A callback form is useful when you can wait to speak to someone. It is not an emergency dispatch service or a confirmed appointment. If your problem needs immediate attention and we do not answer or cannot arrange attendance, contact another local electrician.
What to have ready
- The postcode and address of the affected property.
- What has stopped working and when you first noticed it.
- Whether the issue appears limited to your property.
- A phone number, access contact and the person authorising work.
Know what you are agreeing to
Before you confirm, we discuss the available electrician, proposed arrival estimate, charges and who will invoice the work. Ask what the initial attendance covers and how any further investigation, repairs or materials will be agreed. A request for help is not your acceptance of an unspecified bill.
Attendance and a completed repair are different
An electrician needs to assess the fault on site. The cause, condition of the installation and availability of parts affect what can be completed during the visit. Further work may be needed; it should be explained and agreed before proceeding.
Choose the right next step
Read about a fuse box or RCD that keeps tripping, partial or complete loss of power, socket faults or lighting faults. These guides help you explain the problem; they do not diagnose it remotely.
For a wider power cut, use the network contacts on our urgent-help page. For fire, smoke or immediate danger, move to safety and call 999.
